The Jets are officially in the market for a new offensive tackle and place kicker.

The team announced on Thursday that they released right tackle Breno Giacomini and Nick Folk.

By cutting Giacomini, they will save around $4.5 million of needed cap space, and much-needed $3 million in cap space by parting with Folk, for a combined $7.5 million.

Folk, a sixth round pick by Dallas in 2007, joined the organization three years later.

In 2016, the 32 year old hit 27 field goals (87.1 percent success), 24 point after kicks (out of 26 attempts), and accounted for 105 total points for the Jets.
