The Redskins started the second half of their Week 14 game against the Eagles with possession of the ball.

But after three uneventful plays, Tress Way was brought on to punt on fourth down.

Eagles’ speesdster Darren Sproles returned the punt and proceeded to dart his way past Redskins’ special teams players en route to a touchdown.

The final hurdle Sproles had to clear was the punter Way. But Sproles got some help from Terrence Brooks, who drilled Way with a huge hit.

Way immediately went down and it was clear that he was rocked. The touchdown was eventually called back because of an illegal block in the back penalty on Zach Ertz.

Way was helped off the field and was attended to by the medical staff.

If Way is unable to return, kicker Dustin Hopkins is likely to takeover the punting duties for the remainder of the game.

It appears as if Way is prepared on the sidelines for a return to the game, which is excellent news.
