John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan continue to fill holes in the roster through NFL Free Agency. With the loss of kicker Phil Dawson, the 49ers are turning to free agent Robbie Gould to take over the kicking duties.
According to a report from NFL Network’s Alex Flanagan, the San Francisco 49ers will be signing kicker Robbie Gould to a free agent contract.
Gould, 35, will be playing in his 13th NFL season in his third NFL city.
He started off his career in Chicago, where he spent 12 seasons. He spent the last year with the New York Giants and will soon be a 49er.
Gould holds the franchise record with the Bears for points (1,207) and field goals (276).
